Carriage ride

There's a possibility to go on a carriage ride in the Nuuksio national park! Either as its own trip or as a part of an experience day. The carriage is being pulled by a Fjord horse gelding Felix Foss. The carriage is a Swedish hunting carriage approximately from the 1920s, which is now continuing its life in the Nuuksio national park fully renovated. The carriage seats about 6 people but as Felix's career is only just beginning, we take people on moderately.

Sometimes you may see us in Nuuksio, around Kattila. If the horse stops for you, you are welcome to pet and talk to Felix! If you pass us with a car, be considerate and pass us politely.

Outside of ''work'' Felix lives a good and happy horse life as species-specifically and naturally as possible. More on the subject you can find from the menu option ME AND THE HORSES.

We do about 1,5 hours long trips which include a coffee/tea/juice and a bun. We can also plan together a picnic/shorter ride according to your needs. You can also plan an experience day around the carriage ride for example for a company, holiday or just your own group. According to weather conditions, we also have sleigh rides in winter!

There's also a possibility to go on a more sporty, longer carriage ride deeper into the Nuuksio national forest. This trip fits 2 people. Ask for the price separately, this trip modifies according to needs.
